What type of lettering
is this?
These are pre-pasted, pre-spaced, individually cut letters that
press on your wall or any flat surface. These are not decals with
clear film around the letters, but rather individually cut letters
that have been pre-spaced for you. After pressing the pre-masked
sheet to your wall, you pull pre-mask back and only the lettering
remains. The letters are thin and equivalent to a couple of coats
of paint, which gives you the look of hand-painted stenciling
without the time and trouble. This is high quality vinyl that
will not fade or crack.
How do I remove the lettering?
The vinyl is easy to remove. It works well for both home owners
and renters because the lettering comes off when you want them
to and without damage to your wall or paint. To remove, get a
grip on the corner of each letter using your fingernail or tweezers
and gently pull off the lettering. If you've had the lettering
on the wall for a long period of time, you can soften them up
by using a hair dryer to make it easier to remove. If any sticky
residue is left, use alcohol or goo-gone. Exresssive Walls cannot
be held responsible for damage to any paint or surface. We speak
from our experience, and can not insure that all experiences will
be the same. Please wait at least 3 weeks for new paint to dry
and cure before applying letters.
Are there any surfaces
this type of lettering won't work for?
This type of lettering sticks to almost any smooth or lightly
textured surface like painted walls, glass, mirrors and smooth
metal and wood, as well as ceramic tile. It will not stick to
rough or uneven surfaces like cinder block, brick or stucco.
